Viewing the project-level Artifact Type - Property Map

Overview

Blueprint allows project administrators with the correct privileges to view the property-artifact type mappings within a project at a high level. The Artifact Type - Property Map is helpful when you need to identify properties that are associated with artifact types in the project. The map can help you maintain consistent configurations across artifacts in a project. The map can also be helpful when you want to clean up your project data and identify properties that are not being used.

Tip: The Artifact Type - Property Map also exists at the instance level and can be viewed by instance administrators. However, the instance-level Artifact Type - Property Map only shows standard property and standard artifact type mappings. The project-level Artifact Type - Property Map shows standard property, custom property, standard artifact type and custom artifact type mappings.

Here is what the Artifact Type - Property Map looks like in an example project:

Blueprint also gives you the ability to export the map to a .CSV file for reporting purposes.

To export the Artifact Type - Property Map:

  1. ClosedClick the Export to CSV button.

    The Save As dialog appears.

  2. ClosedEnter a file name, select a location to save the file and then click Save.

    The file starts downloading.

Once the download is complete, you can open the file in Microsoft Excel.
